The Balançoire U. Swing

Studio Sénac has teamed up with designer Lily Saillant, a graduate of the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, for its first furniture piece.

The Balançoire U. Swing, designed as an invitation to contemplation, is perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. Its cocoon-like seating, crafted from soft wood with airy lines, doubles as a delicate ornamental sculpture.

"Originally crafted in bamboo at Domaine de Boisbuchet (Vitra) to celebrate Taiwanese craftsmanship, I'm thrilled to have the chance to reimagine my Balançoire U. Swing for Studio Sénac with a sustainable, eco-design approach. This has involved enhancing the manufacturing process to consider the object's full life cycle and incorporating a handcrafted production process in Provence using local wood species."
